You can use RampPilot without creating an account or signing in.
Location and nearby features
If you grant location permission, RampPilot uses your device location to show nearby ramps and calculate distances. You can deny or later change location access in iOS Settings.
Information kept on your device
Your Boat Profile, saved ramps, and app preferences are stored locally on your device. The current app does not use an account service to sync this information.
Weather requests
When you load weather for a ramp, RampPilot sends that public ramp’s coordinates to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration weather service. Your device’s GPS location is not sent to NOAA for a ramp weather request. NOAA receives normal technical request information, such as an IP address, as part of providing its web service.
Ramp dataset updates
RampPilot checks its public hosting service for authoritative ramp dataset updates. These requests include the normal technical information used to deliver web content. The dataset itself contains public ramp and access information.
Advertising, analytics, and sales
RampPilot is free and supported by a small banner advertisement on a few screens, served by Google AdMob. Google may process information needed to deliver and measure those ads — such as general device and network information — according to your consent choices and applicable privacy settings where those apply. Where regional privacy rules require it, RampPilot presents Google’s consent message and honors your selection; you can review your advertising privacy options at any time from Settings when they apply to your region.
RampPilot never sends AdMob your device location, your Boat Profile, your saved ramps, your searches, the ramp you are viewing, or ramp weather. Ad requests carry no RampPilot data at all, and RampPilot does not request iOS app-tracking permission.
A one-time Remove Ads purchase turns advertising off entirely; the purchase is handled by Apple and RampPilot never sees your payment details. RampPilot has no analytics SDK and does not sell personal information.
